Verizon FIOS NOC (Remote Hybrid)

Contractor – 2022 to March 2023

Daily responsibilities of migration of existing fiber paths from GPON to the new NGPON2 network. Coaching and directing Central Office Technicians to other designated paths for future growth of the FIOS Network. By movement of Single Mode fibers within the central office on-site personnel. Once fibers are correctly moved in a specific order, remotely use the center element monitoring systems to validate that traffic was successfully restored and customers are up and operational. Troubleshooting with Fios Voice/Data and Video groups if needed to restore customer services. Directline DataCenter (Level 6 Technician) February 2018- 2022 Daily responsibilities involved, Lead Technician installation of CAT-5, CAT-6, Multi/Single mode fiber and power cables to Power Distribution Panels for telecommunication systems such as CISCO 7609s, OptiX OSN 6800a, Alcatel- Lucent, Adva Fiber System Platforms, Infinera, etc. Testing w/Facebook NOC and outside vender’s daily, troubleshooting outages and LOS on a daily basis on High Speed and Low bandwidth circuits. Using test equipment such as Fluke Tester, EXFO/FTB200, Amp and Voltage Meters and TLC T-Berd 310s.

KCILLC (Contractor)

January – April 2017 Assigned to Level3 Communications as a Central Office Technician. Daily responsibilities involved, installation of CAT-5, CAT-6 and power cables to Power Distribution Panels for telecommunication systems such as CISCO 7609s, OptiX OSN 6800a, Alcatel- Lucent, Adva Fiber System Platforms, Infinera, etc. Testing w/Level 3 NOC and outside vender’s daily, troubleshooting outages and LOS on a daily basis on High Speed and Low bandwidth circuits. Using test equipment such as EXFO/FTB200, Amp and Voltage Meters and TLC T-Berd 310s. This testing equipment allows the technician to monitor test patterns, send and see loops from the far end and also see lite and speed that’s being transmitted and received on the circuit path. Installation and troubleshooting of circuit packs from DS3 to OC192 in NORTEL platforms as well. Pre-wiring and running fibers for Network and Customer use on a daily basis. April – December 2016 Assigned to CSI as a Lead DAS Technician. Daily responsibilities involved, assuring the running of inch Coax cable throughout buildings, between floors to connect and terminate to splitters, antennas and remotes. Preventive maintenance of assuring No kinks or 90 degrees bends exist in cable, conduit was used as well as ladder racks, to ensure the integrity of cable stabiliy. Verifying that the connectors are secured tightly on the ends of cable as well as equipment, whether manually using wrenches or using a Compression tool. The successful integration required PIM and Sweep testing. This required using the Anritsu’s MT8221b, which is a High Performance Base Analyzer. Also as a Lead, I was required to be able to read blueprints and many other specs. January – April 2016 DC Power Technician assigned to power plant infrastructure for Cirus One Facility in Sterling Va. Assembly and installation of 700 10ft, 24in width basket trays in 4 Network Centers. Pulling, lacing and termination of 750, 500 and 350 twisted Power Cables as well as CAT-5, CAT-6 and fibers to newly installed Power Distribution Systems and Network Elements within the plant. Daily meetings w/Leads and Foreman were required to keep scheduled deadlines and ensure that my assignments were finished correctly according to Safety and Telco standards. The use of lifts was essential to the assignment to assist in the moving of equipment, supplies and screwing in of all-thread in the high ceilings. April – December 2015 Fort Meade Army Base – (Public Trust Obtained) DC Power Technician assigned to power plant buildout for the Department of Army in Classified locations. Pulling, sewing and termination of DC power cabling 500 and 750 to rectifiers, inverters and batteries in power plants. Construction of new Battery Distribution Feeder Bays (BDFB) and installation of fiber wiring such as CAT-5 and CAT-6.

•Installation of equipment used in voice, video, fiber optics and data telecommunications networks. Analyze, plan, layout and assign installation activity to other installation personnel.

•Test and evaluates newly installed or existing hardware to determine efficiency, reliability and compatibility. Remove and install MK Battery 12 volt 225 AH Deep Cycle Gel Battery 8G8D(135-175lb).

•Support structured cabling networks for voice, data, fiber and internet by performing add, moves, changes, repairing existing communications issues, troubleshooting problems and maintaining topology.
