Hired as Programmer/Analyst for The Eureka Company which had UNISYS mainframe and COBOL based custom enterprise system. 5 years later the company migrated to AS/400 mainframe and JDE World enterprise system. At the start of migration, I was promoted to Senior Programmer/Analyst. The Eureka company had factory and distribution center in El Paso, TX and maquiladora factory in Juarez, MX. I was the first ever IT recipient of the Eureka Bravo normally for business roles for my automations in process improvements which included pulling all MRP data and summarizing in production line reports produced in minutes where prior planners manually maintained spreadsheets for hours. Then 5 years later I was promoted to Project Leader. I first led IT and business teams for the company switching from local AS/400 to remote large LPAR based AS/400. I led many special projects for the factories and distribution centers and setup fully in the system 3 new distribution centers. I led supplier website project to extract from JDE their purchase orders to confirm for buyers, their receipts and their payments along with our MRP requirement plan for their items both finished goods and raw materials from all non US suppliers. Routinely I would lead IT and business team members for AS/400 OS upgrades, JDE World upgrades, physical inventories and annual standard cost roll ups.

Career Transition

Received separation severance for full pay/benefits through Nov 2019 when Electrolux closed US operations of Small Appliances.

Electrolux 401K and pension transferred to Fidelity Investments so withdrew monthly income.

Spent time with aging parents during COVID in 2020.

Tried living in Miami Beach for a year in 2021 during continued COVID but never infected.

Tried living in Phoenix for a year in 2022 for health and wellbeing.

Now moved to Charleston to be with family so want to settle and excited to return to work in which always excelled.
