OBJECTIVE

I am a fully licensed therapist in the state of Wisconsin. I would like to work with clients ages 5 years old to 20 years old. Diagnoses I specialize in is ADHD, Autism, Major Depressive Disorder, Anxiety disorder, Oppositional defiant disorder, and Adjustment disorders.

My future perspectives is to start working with middle aged adults and older adults working through transitions in their lives, anxiety, and depression.

EXPERIENCE

Licensed Professional Counselor- At Christian Family Solutions

SEPTEMBER 2018- PRESENT

At Christian Family Solutions, I work in a couple of departments. Monday thru Friday, I am at Salem Lutheran and Mount Lebanon as a school-based therapist. I support children ages K4 thru 8th grade. Along with the students, I support the teachers and families as a whole. In the classrooms, I teach a variety of mental health classes to help supplement the teacher’s health curriculum.

At night, I see outpatient clients. Most of my outpatient clients are part of the Member’s Assistance Program.

Internship at Christian Family Solutions the Urban School Program- St. Marcus

September 2017- June 2018

This internship is an outpatient program offered to St. Marcus school in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My clients range from 5-year-old kindergarten to 8th grade. On average, I see 6-8 clients a week. Fall 2017, I facilitated and organized an emotional regulations group. Spring 2018, I will be facilitating and organizing an anger management group.

Currently, I teach Cricut classes to adults. In the past, I have taught dance classes, cooking classes, softball, Pound fitness, Aqua Zumba, and Zumba. Every October, I volunteer to be an actor for the Halloween Glen event.

I was a one-on-one therapist for Mrs. Fernandez’s daughter through the SonRise Program. I also helped her daughter with personal needs; i.e. preparing meals, and toileting needs.

EDUCATION

BACHELORS IN HUMAN SERVICES MANAGEMENT, University of Phoenix- Online

I graduated from University of Phoenix in September of 2013. My coursework included case management, ethics and legal study, psychology, quality management and productivity, marketing, and finance for business.

MASTERS IN PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING, Concordia University of Wisconsin

I graduated in August 2018. My course work includes theories of personality, family development, psychopathology, social and cultural foundations, ethics, designing proposals and programs, and human development.

Ph. D in Advanced Studies in Human Behavior, Capella University

This program starts on April 10th. I plan on graduating in Spring 2028.

LEADERSHIP

I volunteer to make products for charity events or for my church. For instance, I embroider hoodies for a variety of Christian Family Solutions charity events to be auctioned off. At Salem Lutheran, I make table runners to decorate their tables.

From 2008- 2010, I was part of the Big Sister in the Big Brother Big Sister foundation. My “Little” was part of the high risk category. I still talk to my Little to this day.

With Barbara Fernandez, I had to collaborate with her to make important life decisions.

I lead a fundraiser to help raise money for a friend who lost her daughter in a tragic pool accident and the Option Institute of America
