Have built a home in and moved to Venice, Florida in June of 2022. I already possess a Florida license and am seeking a part-time position as a Family Physician in a primary care office or Urgent Care or Immediate Care Facility . I am looking for a position in the area from Sarasota to Cape Coral, Florida.

Practice Experience

Active family physician and medical director with Amita Poplar Creek Family Practice – 30 or 40 patients per day and minor surgical procedures resigned 10/31/2021.

LECOM Englewood Family Practice – 18 patients a day. Job has changed so I will resign.

Core Accomplishment

Oversaw the development of the first Physicians Report that is sent to each physician every six months.

Spearheaded the formation of our first Medical Staff Quality Committee in which physicians conduct peer review and develop education and information letters.

Guided the development of the Critical Care and Blood Utilization Committees.

Participated in the Antibiotic Stewardship Committee utilizing evidenced based medicine resulting in a more judicious and cost-effective utilization of antibiotics.

Served on the Quality Control of the Alexian Brothers Hospital System, which functions as the “Board” of the hospital system monitoring the quality of care and credentialing.

Conducted numerous “collegial interventions” with physicians whose behavior undermined a culture of patient safety.

Worked closely with our Hospital Administration on numerous successful Joint Commission surveys.

Monitored CMS Core Measure, physicians HCAHP performance and readmissions, and developed educational programs to improve performance.

Chaired the monthly Medical Executive Committee meeting.

Attended Medical Staff Quality, Quality Assurance and Improvement, Critical Care, Blood Utilization and Physician Informatics Committees.

Worked closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Director of Quality on all Medical Staff related matters.
