I have over twenty years serving as a nurse practitioner in an office-based setting primarily in pain management and neurosurgery. Possess extensive knowledge in the management of acute and chronic pain patients. CRNP – Pain Management

Primary responsibilities include managing the care of acute, subacute, and chronic pain. Clinic is comprised of moderate to severe arthritic conditions, moderate to severe spinal conditions. I perform joint injections and trigger point injections. Other treatments includes managing opiates, neuropathics and non-opiate medication management and non medication therapies.

CRNP – Pain Management

Primary responsibilities included managing the care of acute, subacute, and chronic pain. My clinic was comprised of moderate to severe arthritic conditions, moderate to severe spinal conditions including acute work-ins. Additionally, I managed neuropathies and CRPS. I collaborated with orthopedic surgeons and spine surgeons managing patients until surgery. Our practice utilized epidural injections, facet and medical branch block injections, nerve blocks, rhizotomy procedures, spinal cord stimulators, as well as vertebroplasty.

Within the clinic, I performed joint injections and trigger point injections. Other treatments included managing opiates, neuropathics and non-opiate medication management and non-medication therapies.

In addition to patient care, I also served as a leader to the staff and was the liaison for staff disagreements and patient-related complaints. Consistently had high Press-Ganey scores.

Primary responsibilities involved managing the variety of patients presenting at the urgent care center. Requires brief patient history, assessment of the patient’s medical issues and providing immediate care when applicable. Ochsner Clinic, New Orleans, LA May 2008 to October 2011

CRNP – Pain Management

Primary responsibilities involved managing the care of acute and chronic pain patients. The Clinic utilized interventions such as epidural steroid injections, facet, and nerve blocks, tunneled epidural pain catheters, spinal cord stimulators, Botox injections, trigger point injections, intrathecal pain pumps and radiofrequency ablation. Schedule comprised of full clinic days 4 days a week and one-half day refilling intrathecal pain pumps. Average clinic of 15-20 patients per day which consisted of consults, post operative patients, established patients, and medication refills with full prescriptive authority.

In addition to patient care, I also served as a leader to the staff participating in staff management and was the liaison for staff disagreements and patient-related complaints. Consistently had the highest Press-Ganey scores of all providers which included three physicians and two mid-level providers.

CRNP – Post Anesthesia Recovery Room

Primary responsibilities consisted of coordinating and managing the care and recovery of post operative critically ill patients. The position required being proficient in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring via swan-ganz catheter, central venous catheter and/or arterial line catheter, intercranial pressure monitoring, chest tube management, orthopat system, and reinfusion systems. Secondary responsibilities included being a part of our team educational department as well as being a member of our performance improvement department.
