OTC Industrial Technologies – Columbus, OH 12/2021 to 12/2022

Director of Supply Chain

Oversaw corporate functions of fleet, procurement, logistics, and commodity management for $800 million industrial distributor with a spend of $400 million across 60 sites in the United States. Led implementation of a contract management system and an automated third-party utility management system. Negotiated numerous national agreements to reduce costs and improve spend controls, including travel, rental cars, uniforms, and MRO.

Hubbell Incorporated – Greenville, SC 12/2009 to 12/2021

Managed an enterprise indirect spend of $400 million for 65 sites across the global enterprise. Led cross-functional efforts to implement and maintain strategic supplier relationships, delivering an average of $4 million in savings each year on indirect spend. Implemented catalog solution for automation of the purchase of indirect goods and services as well as the on-line bidding and reverse auction tool used by sourcing at Hubbell. Implemented centralization of indirect procurement operations for Hubbell in North America.

Reynolds Packaging Group – Richmond, VA 3/2008 to 12/2009

Indirect Commodity Manager

Managed a $400 million indirect commodity spend and a team of five procurement professionals who managed indirect commodities and procurement systems for the businesses within the Reynolds Packaging Group. Primary negotiator for IT, benefits, travel, and other corporate administrative services. Also have responsibility for procurement’s compliance to SOX audit requirements, savings tracking for procurement, contract management, on-line bidding and other procurement systems.

Alcoa Inc. – Richmond, VA 1/2006 to 3/2008

Manager, Commodities, Procurement, Packaging & Consumer Group

Managed indirect commodity team responsible for implementation and delivery of the savings plan - $9.5 million in 2006 and $17.7 million in 2007. Primary responsibility of the team was to work with the business to identify savings opportunities and then deliver on that commitment on an annual basis. Participated on teams sourcing numerous national agreements for Alcoa. Accountable to implement those agreements at the Packaging and Consumer Group locations. Responsible for developing and managing the budget for the team.

Honeywell International, Inc. – Chester, VA 12/2000 to 1/2006

Manager, Systems & Metrics, Honeywell Specialty Materials, Supply Management

Used six-sigma methodology to manage implementation of new systems related to procurement, including EDI and eProcurement web portal document exchange systems with suppliers, and to implement an upgrade of an ERP system to SAP version 4.7 for 41 sites. Managed a staff of 15 people who did the tactical procurement for a $300M spend in Specialty Materials.

Led MRO department that delivered over $50M in price over price and productivity savings in four years. As project manager, led a successful implementation of a web-based EDI portal for exchanging documents with suppliers and eight SAP implementations at over 30 sites. Expanded centralized procurement from 5 sites to 43 sites on three purchasing systems (SAP, Oracle I-Buy & JD Edwards).

Team Leader – Plant and Equipment, PP&C Division 7/2000 to 12/2000

As a working team leader, managed plant and equipment commodities as well as a professional staff of three commodity leaders with a capital spend of $150M and an MRO spend of $150M for a six month period. Commodities managed included engineered process equipment for plastics and chemicals manufacturing, instrumentation, process and lab gases, mill supplies, electrical supplies and motors. The team delivered more than $15M in savings in 2000.

AlliedSignal Inc./Honeywell International, Hopewell, Virginia. 1/1996 to 7/2000

Sourcing Leader

Managed commodities with a spend of $25 to $30M annually for four Richmond area production facilities. Led three corporate supplier alliances, negotiating price changes, documenting progress and tracking productivity. Led Materials Management efforts on Hopewell Plant Engineering Capital Projects Team. Completed six-sigma green belt certification with a project that delivered a 15% cost reduction ($858K annually) on an engineered packaging liner. Leveraged $10M annual corrugated spend for Division with $25M spend in the rest of corporation, delivering $1.2M annual savings for the division while reducing the supply base to three national agreements.

Purchasing Specialist

Managed the purchasing function of the Functional Products Group for materials, services and equipment with a total dollar value of approximately $70MM with two direct reports. Responsible for controlling costs through negotiations with suppliers, ensuring consistency of quality and continuity of supply. Developed and maintained purchasing procedures and quality documentation to support ISO 9002 certification received in May of 1994. Set annual budget for department expenses and established raw material standards. Conducted ISO 9002 based quality audits on strategic suppliers. Participated on a team that developed a supplier certification program for Henkel. Developed and implemented a procurement card program for small dollar non-strategic purchases. Participated on a re-engineering team which developed a Lotus Notes based capital project management and procurement system.
