Liaison Project Manager, Australia

Provide interface between Origin Energy – Power Plant Owner – and GE Infrastructure, specifically regarding technical, logistic and contractual issues on the Darling Down Power Plant Project

(Queensland). Manage the arrival of international goods imported into Australia for the project

(representing 90% of total project value), navigating the complex logistic environment created by the Australian stringent import regulations in order to achieve minimum duty and taxation exposure. Through collaborative partnership with local logistics company, optimized equipment packaging and custom declaration classification to achieve key concession and reduction in import duties from Australian custom agency, improving margin by saving over 1%, approximately 5 million, on total project cost.

Spearhead the execution of various water treatment projects, specifically dealing with contractual issues, engineering, equipment supply, start-up and commissioning of municipal water treatment plants. Successfully balanced budget control targets against resource demands to achieve contractual objectives. Consistently met or exceeded project financial targets. Brought best practice acquired over years of experienced at major international companies to Degremont’s existing project management process which was subsequently revised accordingly. Field Engineer, Headquarter in USA; Project sites worldwide Provided on-site technical advice during the installation, maintenance and commissioning of turbines, generators and various equipment associated with large scale power plant projects. Was quickly awarded increased responsibilities, including Lead Field Engineer positions. During assignments as Lead Field Engineer (3+ years), tasked with leading the field engineering team on construction site. In charge of managing contractual issues, planning for adequate resources and directing activities ranging from civil, electrical and mechanical tasks to commissioning of power generation equipment. Within 6 months hiring date, was assigned to a Lead Field Engineer position on a construction project in Japan which was delivered on time and within budget. At customer’s request, was assigned to several subsequent projects in Japan.

Performed tests and promoted an alternative turbine alignment method for very large gas turbines significantly reducing both cost and technical risk factors. Was instrumental in the adoption of the alternative technique as standard procedure across the fleet, following review by product service engineers.

Applications Engineer, Canada

Performed model analysis and dimensioning of hydroelectric turbines based on hydraulic data. Commercial overview and technical design. Coordinated the preparation of technical and commercial proposal documents, including writing technical specifications for equipment providers and design engineers to establish cost estimates.

Developed a custom automated Cost Estimate Spreadsheet based on few key technical and commercial variables to speed up budgetary estimate. Additionally, developed an automated bid proposal templates to reduce time required to generate budgetary proposal which in combination with the Cost Estimated Spreadsheet decreased budgetary quote turn-around to customer by over 50%.
