Reason for Leaving: My mother had a stroke, which incapacitated her to the point she was no longer able to care for herself. I was only making minimum wage and I could not justify paying for full-time care for her when we could not afford it anyway. So I left the workforce to provide full-time, round the clock care for my mother while I finished my bachelor’s degree at ECPI.

Reason for Leaving: My children were still very young. I spent the first few years of their lives working anywhere from 45 to 65 hours a week. It was at this point that I decided I wanted to spend more time with them and decided to be a stay-at-home mom until they were a little older. In 2012, I decided that I was ready to return to the workforce and obtained employment at Harmony Korner.
