Education
MONTH 20XX - MONTH 20XX
Salisbury University, Salisbury, MD - General Studies
I attended this university my first two years, but was sick during my studies and had to take a gap year in order to get treatment and take classes at a community college during the following year. I took some credits between Fall of 2020 and Spring of 2021 at Howard Community, which landed me in my junior year of college.
Fall 2021-
Towson University, Towson, MD - Community Health/Pre-Nursing
I currently attend Towson University, go Tigers! I transferred here last fall and I plan on finishing my education here, with a degree in Community Health. Right now, I am just taking a light course load to get well acquainted with school again and get well settled.
I plan on working in schools to teach Health science or becoming a licensed therapist or nurse. Nursing is also my track because I want to help people and use the knowledge I gain in school about anatomy and how science is related with the body and its functions. Nursing is a selfless degree and requires love and patience for all.
Associate's Degree - Howard Community College (2020-2022)
●A.A. in General Studies
●Attended classes at Howard Community to earn Associate’s degree and transfer credits to bachelor’s degree
University of Maryland Global Campus (March 2022-December 2023)
Bachelor's in Gerontology and Aging Services
●Just finishing up my degree at this school and hoping to get my bachelor’s by the end of Fall 2023
●I plan on working as a gerontologist so I can assist people and work with the elderly
●I believe this will be a good career plan, although I initially wanted to major in Public Health, but UMGC doesn’t offer that
Awards
●Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award [9th grade, 11th grade]: Students receive this award every quarter if they get all As, Bs, and no more than one C.
●Promotion Award: I received this award because I was held back for a semester, due to failing my classes; so, I was promoted from a sophomore to a junior after the first semester. Taking remedial English marked the course that brought my grade up tremendously and helped me to get back on track and graduate on time.
●Academic Integrity Award - February 2022:
This training took six tutorials for me to get through and pass in order to achieve the program and earn a certificate afterwards. I earned in order six certificates from each tutorial and scored high grades on all tutorials.
