I am retiring as a Technical Project Manager and have multiple technical skill areas, one of which is “All Things Testing” - Senior Quality Assurance (SQA) Tester; Senior Quality Control (SQC) Tester, Testing Management, and designing test strategies. My objective is to secure 1099 engagements on a part-time to full-time basis.
1Different Testing Projects
Here is a short list of recent projects and variety I have experience with.
1.1Low Code No Code (2022 – 2013)
For a major DoD Agency using Appian low code no code software to design and build an application capable generating U.S. Federal Government contracts and solicitations (i.e., RFP). I was an SME in Government Contract Writing and Acquisition systems.
1.2SCRUM / Agile 2-Week Sprint Cycles (2021 – 2022)
For U.S. Marine Corps Program Management Office to design and build a PMO Office capability to manage Risks, Issues, Goals, Objectives, and Tracking inter-departmental Taskers using MS SharePoint.
1.3Hybrid SDLC (2010 – 2017)
For a major Intelligence Community Agency, develop a logistics world-wide capability with short term core features first and incrementally more features in future phases. This capability was also developed to and deployed to a Handheld Computer device.
2Test Plans.
Significant experience developing Test Plans (both Agile and SDLC) and Reporting Test Results to operations and senior management. This includes metric reporting.
3Range of Related Skills Include:
Requirements. Extensive Requirements Management (identification, qualification, inventory, vetting, release tracking, planning for next version / Sprint). Developed several Requirements Management Systems in MS Access.
RDBMS. Database Conversions (RDBMS to RDBMS, RDBMS to external flat file, external flat file to RDBMS). Products used by me include Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL
Automated Key Stroke Generators. Using a variety of tools (“Selenium” is the fastest growing trend), develop User Journey scripts with predictable outcomes and iterate for a fixed duration with measured response times. Market share contenders include Microsoft Visual Studio including Azure App Service, Xamarin, and Visual Studio App Center.
Extract, Translate, and Load (ETL). Examples are Stitch, Portable, Azure Data Factory are products I have some experience using.
Data Entry. The objective here is accuracy and speed. There are different types of data entry and different software strategies:
Data Entry (Form 1 - Form 2). The job involves inputting key information from one format to another, often through typing
Data Entry Keyer. Scan docs / conduct secondary format alignment & modification.
Transcriptionists - Audio transcribing to text
Word processors & Typists. Type text docs to other doc formats
Programming. Visual Basic.NET (expert level), Perl.NET (basic level), MS Access Visual Basic (expert), C#.Net (moderate), Visual Studio (multiple versions)
NIST Remote Terminal Emulation (RTE) Specifications Compliance.
