EXPERIENCE

April 2013 – Present Tachi-S Engineering - Senior Lab Technician

-Experienced in performing seat testing based on Nissan (NDS) and Honda test specifications

oRegulation testing (FMVSS/ECE/GB – Belt Anchorage, Seat Strength, Head Restraint Performance, Child Anchorage Strength, etc.)

oVibration testing for durability and marketability (hydraulic single axis shaker testing for long term durability and NVH evaluation)

oEnvironmental testing using Cincinnati Sub Zero and Weisstechnik programmable environmental chambers

oElectrical testing related to seat heaters/cooling systems, occupant position sensors, occupant weight sensors and mechanism durability and performance

-Daily responsibilities include conducting testing as delivered by program validation engineers, collecting data to create first draft reports, assessing failed test items for root cause, and managing maintenance and calibration of all testing equipment

-Participated in bi-annual A2LA accreditation audits in addition to annual internal audits

-Trained to operate Faro and Romer CMMs using Polyworks software

-Responsible for training new hire technicians and assisted in developing internal testing procedures

-Work as part of larger cross functional/cross departmental teams to achieve validation requirement set forth by the customer

-Involved in lab Kaizen (continuous improvement) activities to elevate lab efficiency, reduce cost and minimize environmental impact

-Participate in lab budget discussion related to major equipment purchases to improve capability

Sept 2010 - April 2013 Honda R&D (Contract) - Chassis Technician

-Experienced in using MTS controllers and software (chassis durability and static strength testing using hydraulic cylinders, 329 machine operation)

-Setup and calibration of instrumentation, including instrumenting of test parts and calibrating it making it a usable transducer

-Responsible for analyzing data, fabricating test fixtures, and repairing test parts or equipment to facilitate accurate and complete test setups

-Load, instrument and operate 329-machine using MTS software

-Work directly with customer to provide data and info in Excel, verbal or conference settings

-Instruct new technicians proper test methods required by the test lab

June 2002- June 2007 Nissan Technical Center (Contract) - Body Test Technician

-Perform durability and strength test on body and component parts such as doors, lift gates, hoods, latches, mechanical, and electrical parts using pneumatic cylinders as well as controllers to control vehicle electrical equipment such as rear liftgates

-Measure dent ability, fit and finish, load vs defection using FaroArm, krypton photo analysis and load vs deflection measurement equipment

-Perform climate and UV test, water intrusion and four post testing

-Fabricated custom fixturing for setups and maintained tests from start to finish

-Installed instrumentation on test parts and performed calibration checks

-Generate a final report to give to customer and in some cases schedule meeting to discuss test results

-Traveled to various locations in state and out to collect road data used to build a road profile for four post and component testing
