Duties included but were not limited to the following: Responsible for the ordering of equipment and parts for the construction and building of a cutter for the USCG (United States Coast Guard). Evaluation of the contractor’s construction schedule, progress and installation testing status and sea trial preparations.

Performed review of technical specification for all Request for Quotation (RFQ) for ships equipment. Ensured all the technical specification met requirements per the ABSNVR, as well as any and all other specification set forth to build a Coast Guard cutter, including but not limited to reviewing shipboard drawings and other contractual documents to ensure shipboard systems and performance is compliant.

Packaged all RFQ for review by vendors and kept all RFQs tracked and moving through the systems. Vendor questions would be addressed by meeting with the lead engineer for clarification on the item, response would be returned to vendor. In addition conduction of onsite reviews to evaluate shipbuilders’ technical compliance to contract specs, regulation and requirements related to production and quality assurance. Reviewed drawings to ensure requirement that were set forth by ABSNVR and Mil-Std for completeness. Helped review the Build of materials (BOM) for completeness. In addition to monitoring contract performance, managing budget execution, preparing change orders, reviewing data deliverables, maintaining contract files and other tasks that may be needed.

Reviewed item to be checked into ADEPT for completeness before they were be get entered in as need VFI to build the Ship. Reviewed space arrangement drawing to ensure all requirements were met and that all spaces had required equipment as required by ABSNVR and the Coast Guard.
