Training included sharpening physical diagnosis skills of various orthopedic and musculoskeletal problems. The chief instructor of the program received training from Dr. James Cyriax in England. Primary textbooks included Orthopedic Vol. 1 & 2 by Dr. Cyriax. Mostly through examination techniques differentiation between bursitis, tendinitis, ligamentous sprains, capsular patterns, muscular strains, cartilage problems, and internal derangement of the joints are made. Precise diagnoses and differentiate the causes of painful conditions about the neck, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, buttocks, hip, knee, ankle, foot, and jaw. Interventional skills in performing various spinal procedures and peripheral joint injections with or without fluoroscopic guidance including caudal epidural, transforaminal epidural, medial branch blocks, facet joints, Radiofrequency Nerve Ablation and discography. Reading orthopedic x-rays and MRI of the spine were also taught.
