Brain tumor classification and segmentation

college project • February 2022 - June 2022

• Segmentation techniques were employed to implement transfer learning based on 3D U-Net and Residual U-Net architectures to separate the brain tumor from MRI images, yielding a Dice similarity coefficient of greater than 0.99 for the segmentation task.

• Using MRI images, a system based on deep learning was developed to precisely identify eight different forms of cancer.

• We employed convolutional neural network architectures to precisely conduct the predictions and to identify and segment tumors.
