Squad Leader & Company Arms Manager – June ’63 to June ’66, Reconnaissance Platoon

U.S. Army, 2nd Battalion, 505th Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division, Ft. Bragg, NC. The Reconnaissance Platoon provided investigations and information to Military Intelligence.

Investigation of accidental, suspicious, suicidal, and homicidal deaths occurring in Dallas County, report writing of a medical/legal nature. Investigations were done under Texas law and involved working closely with local police officials in the collection of evidence, writing reports, and follow-up investigation on the deaths awaiting a final ruling by the Medical Examiner.

Medical Malpractice Claims Investigator – Aug. 1986 to Aug. 1987 – American Physicians Insurance Exchange, Dallas and Austin, TX.

Investigation, evaluation, reporting, and settling or overseeing the defense litigation of malpractice claims arising in the north central and west Texas area. The position involved detailed report writing and evaluation of allegations placed against the insured doctors by plaintiffs. The placing proper monetary reserves on the claims and reporting to reinsurance companies in cases exceeding a $100,000 was also involved.

Multiline Field Claims Adjuster – Aug. 1987 to Dec. 1987 – Custard Insurance Adjusters, Plymouth Meeting, PA.

Established a claims office in Philadelphia area for Custard and handled property and casualty claims.
