CARPENTRY/CONSTRUCTION

Supervised, coordinated, or scheduled the activities of construction or extractive workers; such as the Loading and unloading of identified building materials, machinery, or tools; distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications.

Operated hand and power tools of all types: air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small mechanical hoists, surveying and measuring equipment, and a variety of other equipment and instruments.

Sound knowledge of residential and commercial construction and remodeling trades practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, materials, specifications, quality control, cost control, and safety.

Proficient at the following tasks: stain-grade trim work, hand doors, drill and set door hardware, set windows, layout for stairs and common rafters, read blueprints, utilize appropriate math skills.

Controlled traffic passing near, in, or around work zones.

Cleaned or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.

Located, measured, and marked site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.

Select and prepare timber and manufactured board.

Marked dimensions on wood, cut and shape pieces using saws, chisels, planes, power tools and woodworking machines; according to blueprints.

CONCRETE

Aligned forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.

Set concrete forms to desired pitch and depth
