After more than thirty years of procurement service with several governmental entities, and FPL/NextEra Energy Resources; I am excited to have an opportunity to share my years of contract experience and relationship building skills with suppliers and construction firms. Provide hands-on approach in selecting Battery Energy Storage System contractors; assisting with contractual expectations and corporate requirements to ensure their success on our projects.
Instrumental in partnering with early-stage development team to collect bid documents, recommend certain strategies in sourcing and bidding to qualified general and or electrical contractors.
Continued synergies to capitalize on changing markets and partnering with Engineering & Construction to develop commercial strategy and promote competition through supplier base expansion, increase margin on projects, mitigate risk, and ensure safe completion of work.
Enriched project management skills by working with business units on projects like the Florida Southeast Connection Pipeline in Florida, CFE Header Expansion in Agua Dulce, Texas; successful BESS projects such as Casco Bay in Portland, Maine, Citrus and Babcock Ranch, in Florida, and most recently utility scale projects at Dodge Flat and Fish Springs, in Nevada. BESS projects that are currently underway are Arlington II & III, both located in Riverside County, California.

Prepared, distributed, and evaluated (Invitation to Bid) for various commodities and services related to maintenance and plant operations. Conduct pre-bid conferences and tours with user departments and vendors
Conducted and prepared market research on new product lines, technology and price comparison, justification of sole source and bid waiver purchases.
Review and analyze complex scopes of work for flexibility, type of contract language needed, vendor requirements, and to determine if documents provide basis for evaluation

Responsible for the coordination of Operations & Maintenance contracts with project managers, to include the participation in procurement strategies along with assuring that a comprehensive and precise “Statements of Work” were part of the solicitation.
Monitored contracts through completion to assure schedules were met and within budget; including creating amendments or change orders to the contracts.
