Designed and developed a modular network configuration that provides as a standard configuration email and internet access for all users via a proxy server/firewall called aVirt Gateway Server, automatic updating via the server of anti-virus programs and data files, client PCs update from the server only. Remote access of terminals from either the server or any client designated as technical/support access. Intranet support via a second server that contains the Microsoft IIS 3.0 service this also allows for multimedia rich applications and content to be placed on the network and publishing of streaming content to each workstation via the browser. Desktop send/receive of faxes via the server and sharing of calendar and contact information via Microsoft Mail/Outlook98. This is being upgraded to Microsoft Exchange Server 5.x via a third server on the network. Redundancy and backup protection is scheduled automatically to external DAT tape drives and recovery of any server can be done within 1 hour of replacement.

Was responsible for setting up the TCP/IP stack on client PCs that included the DNS, Router and Gateway addresses for accessing the Internet and company intranet. Was part of a team responsible to add/change, move/delete users and print queues under Novell and Windows 95 clients and servers.
