Pursuing opportunities in internships where I can apply my knowledge, abilities, and experience obtained throughout my bachelor’s degree.

Education: University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus (2018-present) Bachelor: Chemical Engineering Expected Graduate date: May-2024 cccCertificate: Environmental Engineering GPA: 3.37 Mayor GPA: 3.22 Relevant Courses

Momentum Transfer Operations, Heat Transfer Operations, Mass Transfer Operations, Introduction to Environmental Engineering, Air Pollution Control, and Chemical Engineering Kinetics and Catalysis. Research Experience

Undergraduate Research – UPRM, Environmental Research Lab August 2022-Present Adsorption Column for Separating Trimethysilanol and Dimethylsulfone from Water

• Designed a column system for separating trimethylsilanol and dimethylsulfone, utilizing zeolite, from water.

• Led a group of three students to develop an optimal mixture of the binder with zeolite that provided the highest adsorption capacity while maintaining its integrity and determined the breakthrough volume for each contaminant.

• Tested different binders for the granulation of zeolite, characterized optimal variation, fixed bed adsorption with each contaminant, and divided task between the team.

• Prepared research progress report for each month and a final report at the end of each semester. Summer Undergraduate Research – UC Davis, Osterloh’s lab June 2022-August 2022 Ferroelectric Polarization in Fe2O3 for Photoelectrochemical Water Oxidation

• Focused on producing hydrogen from photoelectrochemical water splitting.

• Assigned to study the improvement of charge separation using polarization.

• Analysed various photoelectrochemical tests using polarized and non-polarized hematite (Fe2O3) films.

• Presented findings at a local conference with a poster and a detailed presentation to PI and lab group. Undergraduate Research – UPRM, Environmental Research Lab July 2021- May 2022 Mass Transfer in the Adsorption of Siloxanes Derivative in Water

• This research delved into the removal of siloxane derivatives from water using zeolites as an adsorbent material.

• Tasked to study the mass transport phenomena during the adsorption process.

• Administered samples at different times of contact with each adsorbent, applied different mass transfer models, and determine the limitation step.

• Developed a report with the results found and discussed the data reported at a local conference. Alpha Astrum-Draco Recovery Team/ Electronics Captain July 2021- May 2022

• Build a high-power rocket to compete in the (NASA) Student Launch.

• Coordinated a team of five members to document the work plan, and progress report of the team.

• Researched a cleaner ejection system and designed the avionics bay of the rocket utilizing OnShape.

• Manufacture the avionics bay with a CO2 ejection system which was used to separate the rocket. Award

• Chosen for the NASA Puerto Rico Space Grant Scholarship Program July 2022 - present

• Selected as a recipient of the Chevron Scholarship April 2022
