2015(Mar)-2018(Feb) Norton Audubon Hospital (Louisville, KY) Rounding, admitting, and treating substance abuse, neuro, and oncology as In-patient Nurse Practitioner. The facility is a Primary Stroke Center. As stroke Co-coordinator, my responsibilities included assuring that all quality measures were met, patient and staff education, gathering statistical information, and treating stroke patients. The facility houses the New Vision program fir supervised substance abuse withdrawal, and receive patients admitted through the Emergency Department in active withdrawal. My responsibility was to treat withdrawal symptoms and to begin post-withdrawal treatment with Suboxone, Vivitrol, or appropriate therapy. Responsible for rounding on Norton Cancer Institute in-patients and symptom management as needed. Responsibilities included overseeing care provided by staff to assure JCAHO, state guidelines and core measures were continuously being met.
