PROFESSIONAL PROFILE

I am a graduate Petroleum Engineer from Kenyatta University. I graduated in July, 2019, with broad knowledge in Drilling Engineering, Reservoir and Production Engineering and field practice in geothermal power plants specifically in rig and reservoir sites. I am still seeking more practice and experience in oil/gas industry, geothermal or related fields to develop engineering and management skills and apply new ideas to real life industrial problems.

EDUCATION

2013- 2019: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Kenyatta University main campus, Nairobi Kenya with a grade of second-class honors- lower division. The Degree course focused on the study of Reservoir and Drilling Engineering, Petroleum Production Engineering, Well and Reservoir simulation, Natural gas engineering, Well construction and completion design, Well logging and well testing, Geostatic advanced reservoir modelling, petroleum plant management, Structural Geology, Petroleum Refinery Operations and Engineering Mathematics. This course has enabled me to:

1. Gain knowledge and lab experiments on topics such as: Drilling Mud; Mud Density; Mud Viscosity; Retort Analysis; Mud Rheology; API Filtration Test and API HPHT Filtration Test.

2. Obtain knowledge and understanding of principles that underpin engineering science, mathematics and applied sciences essential for a petroleum engineer. 3. Undertake field visits, such as Tullow oil company and Olkaria geothermal power plant, and gain an understanding of: technology application in the field; how operations are conducted; the challenges faced during and after production (specifically in gas and water management); and the expectations of oil and gas engineers.

4. Improve analytical skills, leading to the ability to apply engineering principles to a wide range of applications.

5. Appreciate and understand the economic, social and environmental context in which petroleum engineers’ work.

6. Develop the ability to think critically and analyze information in an objective manner in order to form a judgment.

7. Analyze data to review, enhance or promote sustainable development and use creativity to establish innovative solutions.

8. Enhance the ability to work independently or in groups to manage projects and meet deadlines.
