Set up the sterile field for All surgical cases, maintain sterility while assisting the surgeon or surgeon's + surgical team "P.A.s, residents, surgical Techs and Reps" Being a Patient Advocate from wheels in until wheels out "I am the Eyes, Ears & conscious from the moment the 1st drug in the cocktail is administered. After surgery, I clean my Patient & make sure the dressings are applied beautifully after that we tear down the sterile field & the RN & Anesthesia take the Hand off from me & or Resident/P.A. I break down the OR including Anesthesia. I restring my unused instruments, pre clean all used instruments and personally hand them to SPD. I help the Support crew by turning over the OR for the next case. "Wiping ALL surfaces, all trash is removed including all linen, wipe All cords on Anesthesia Machine, Mop, let dry then We Replace the circuit on Anesthesia Machine, All new linen on bed "Applied how Applicable for the surgery" new trash, linen & recycling Bags, Pull the supplies for the next case & rinse & repeat.
