Involvement in Telecom Inspection
o FOC Includes Trenching & Excavation, HDPE Pipe and sub ducts Installation, FOC Cable pulling, Splicing & Termination, FOC Testing and Optiped Installation. o FOC Installation outside areas Manholes, Duct Banks & Pedestal Installation. o Tetra Radio (UHF) Including Antenna installation, Coaxial cable pulling and installation of Base Station, Testing and Commissioning.
o Fiber Optic Cable Activities including Cable Testing using OTDR and Power Meter. o Drawing Review Prior to Project mobilization.
o Closure of Punch Items (EIL)
o PMCC and Pre-Commissioning.
o Knowledgeable in Understanding Construction Drawing with logical Diagrams. o Knowledgeable in using Fiber Optic Cable Splicing and Testing Equipment, OTDR and Power Meter (EXFO), Fusion Machine (Fujikura, Sumitomo 71+C). o Computer Literate.
Quality Inspection of Telecom & FOC Activities
o Ensure that all Inspections activities will be followed as per Inspection Test Plan. o Monitor and Survey all on going activities to avoid any Violation from the Project Inspection Division (PID).
o Issue NCR for any Non-Conformance activities on site. o Ensure that all the test reports are accurate and all the attached documents are of current status.
o Prior all Inspection, Verify, inform and advise Site Engineer for any defect/deficiency in order to initiate the required Preventive or corrective actions. o Witness all the Hold Points activities (FOC Splicing and Testing, Continuity & IR Testing for Copper and Instrument Cable).
o Record all ten cable Test Results during Actual Inspection. o Ensure that Testing are Conducted by Qualified or Approved Personal and that all equipment being used are calibrated and up to date.
o All RFI Log Documents including Testing Reports for Proper and final turn- over to client.
Quality Inspection of UGC High Voltage Filed Activities o Review the Project drawings and apply contract codes, Specification and Standards o Coordinating with contractors to Resolve Quality Issues o Raising RMI’S, RFI’S, and ITP’S
o Raising NCR, ACT according to Non-Conference of Material or Services. o Prepare and Inspect Material report
o Material Procurement with the help of material department and quality inspection of material, as per company and manufacturers Specification to approve the same material to use at site o Monitor all electrical work according to client standard and specification o Installation of Tranches, Ducts Banks, HV XLPE Cable pulling and Splice Jointing with link box & GIS Cable Sealing end termination.
o Verify BOQ Item from the drawing
Supervision of Construction/Erection
o Study all technical drawings, documents and any revision there-on o Raise technical query for any conflict information with the Project technical document o Advise on construction in terms of Proper method, material reservation and optimum output of labor
o Execute the works according to the latest approved revision of drawings and instruction of authorized authorities
o Follow up of Progress Planning and arranging all its requirements. o Review the technical submittal of material and ensure its compliance with Project, ensure the operations & maintenance manuals as well as handover documents are updated with Contract specification and requirements
o Analyzing and resolving field Problems
o Supervision of Erection/Construction of all electrical related equipment’s Such as Cable Pulling, Splice Jointing, Link Box, FO Cable, FOMAR Panels, Grounding etc. o Inspection of HV 132kV XLPE cable drums for their Physical appearance, IR Test, Continuity test, cable laying, Splice Jointing, GIS Sealing end termination, grounding System to achieve Successfully Project Completion.
