I was responsible for providing support to the Oahu Pilot agreement between the Australian government and the US government, a partnership between DAFF with USA Pacific, which builds on onshore/offshore industry-led biosecurity risk management programs.
As a Biosecurity duties personnel, I performed the duties of a General Laborer and light equipment mechanic working for DAV Force and Vectrus Forces in Hawaii.
As a General laborer and light equipment mechanic, I was responsible for the removal of all body armor, armor plates, and engine compartment parts, such as a hood, radiator, hydraulic hoses, cooling fan, oil cooler radiator, electrical wire hardness, and many other parts of the engine compartment.
I was responsible for the removal of all of the interior parts of the vehicles, such as seats, radio, and mounts, wire hardness, body armor, batteries, and other additional internal vehicle accessories.
I was responsible for the cleanness of the vehicle, making sure that no sand, dirt, or any living insects, were inside the vehicle, trailer, etc.
Responsible for minor repairs of any damaged parts or other minor damages that came damage with the vehicle.
Responsible to record all necessary documentation from the moment that the vehicle or equipment such as LNT, HMWWV, Trailers, Contact Trucks, and others US tactical vehicles and equipment.
Responsible to make sure that the vehicle/equipment was power washed IAW the Australian and the US government standards and agreement before the vehicle/equipment was re-assembled to its original status.
Place and maintain decals on vehicles, checks and replaces batteries, rotates, repairs, and replaces tires, washes, polishes, and cleans interiors and exteriors of vehicles, drains, flushes, and replaces engine, transmission, and differential grease and oils, checks, cleans, calibrates, and replaces spark plugs, cleans and replaces oil and air filters.
