UCLA Mechanical Engineering Capstone - Implanted Medical Device, Los Angeles, CA January 2023- present Lead Engineer - Design, Prototyping, and Manufacturing

● With Director of Urology at UCLA Dr. Jesse Mills as primary advisor, designed an implantable device that can reliably and temporarily prevent sperm from entering male ejaculate for the purpose of creating an additional, non-hormonal male birth control option

● Developed a testing protocol to determine the material properties of the Vas Deferens utilizing human tissue in order to establish the device specifications

Verdant Robotics, Hayward, CA Summer 2022

Agricultural robotics start-up utilizing computer vision and AI for sustainable, high-fidelity farming Mechanical Engineering Intern - Research and Development

● Delivered a vibration and ingress testing system for design verification and end of line testing of robot's spray box components; Researched, designed and fabricated full test system within time and budget requirements; Discovered the maximum frequency the system could experience before failure

● Designed and constructed a test pump system to assess multiple solenoid valves for spray mechanism redesign; down-selected a valve that reduced the spray mechanism mass by 40% while meeting speed requirements

● Implemented design change to robot's spray system that significantly increased weed spraying accuracy. By analyzing pressure data on a millisecond level, determined that adding an accumulator to the robot's chemical system greatly decreased pressure fluctuation and improved spray accuracy. NASA Ames Research Center, Mountain View, CA Summer 2021 VIPER Lunar Rover Fault Management Software Developer

● Designed, implemented, and simulated failure of a mid-fidelity model of VIPER subsystems in Stateflow to exercise all modes of a fault management system; Independently assembled, formatted and presented resulting data for team analysis

● Provided insight to the design team by identifying unanticipated behavior, specifically oscillations between different software modes, failing to go into Safe Mode when expected or unexpectedly going into Safe Mode UCLA Women’s Swimming, Los Angeles, CA September 2018 - Present Team Captain
