Technology Director

Managed 1100+ users in a Windows and Google Suite one to one environment with a team of up to 4 members.

Oversaw Windows systems including Windows 3.11, 9x, ME, XP, Vista, NT, 2k, 8, 10 and 11.

Administered Windows Server versions NT, 2000, 2003, 2008, 2012, 2019 including Active Directory, FSMO Roles, Group Policy, WSUS, DNS and DHCP. Implemented virtual servers as a VM using Oracle VirtualBox.

Support virtual Ubuntu FOG server for district wide imaging.

Managed Chromebooks and chromium builds through Google Suite management console.

Employed web filtering, IPS and Virus/malware protection using Sonic Wall firewall since 2000.

Deployed E-Mail services using Mercury Server including a conversion to Google Suite

Support and maintain security systems, including DSC Security alarms, IP based Video cameras, door connectivity and servers.

Performed hardware repair and maintenance including support for white box, Gateway, IBM, HP, Lenovo, Dell and many other brands hardware issues, including systems from 8088 – I7.

Construct, setup and maintain district TCP/IP network deploying HP Procurve/Aruba and CISCO switches, including the installation and termination of Cat-V and 6 cable. Support a wireless network of Aruba IAP’s with multiple SSID’s over 4 buildings.

Trained for A+ certification, server 2008 administration and server 2012 administration through Morenet. Received although they have currently expired CEH and CHFI certifications for network security.

Set up and maintain a digital phone system using VOIP through the LogmeIn.com service using Polycom phones.

Maintain and abide by District budget constraints.

Facilitate vendor relations and pricing for district.

Developed and maintained district Disaster Recovery Plan.

Help the district maintain CIPA, COPPA, FERPA and HIPPA standards.

Provide yearly board reports to update on the state of technology in the district.

2000–present Outside contracting

Manage a small school districts technology needs including 40 Windows computers, 2 windows servers, 1 virtual Linux server, 35 users, district printers, TCP/IP network and wireless.

Administered a Microsoft AD with Exchange to Azure conversion for a church.

Implemented a new Microsoft Azure IAAS install supporting WordPress website, E-mail, Office 365 products etc.

Architected a business network infrastructure including cabling and Aruba switching and wireless for a Law office.
