Performs minor surgical and invasive procedures in clinic, i.e., suture of lacerations not involving tendons/nerves, incisions and drainage of abscesses, removal of toenails, skin biopsies, and cryotherapy. Experience in joint injections to include knees (cortisone and Synvisc), shoulders, elbows, carpal tunnel, trigger finger, plantar fasciitis, and trigger point injections
Prescribes medications as delineated in the approved clinical privileges for a variety of symptoms and illnesses. Monitor the effectiveness of medications and adjust dosages as appropriate to the patient’s response.
