Having completed my two-year Police Foundations Program at Fanshawe College, I realize that it is more than simply my diploma that makes me an ideal candidate for this position. Reflecting on my educational background and prior work experience, I believe that my skills, including knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada, provide me with an excellent set of skills to match those required for this position.

I have well-developed communication skills and interpersonal skills, honed through my education, volunteer and employment experiences. From my history, I know firsthand the importance of teamwork as well as being able to work efficiently and effectively on an individual basis. I pride myself in possessing good organizational and time management abilities, prioritizing my schedule to always meet the demands of the job all the while bringing energy and enthusiasm to every task. I have had to do large amounts of screening work while also gaining skills with computer programs such as Microsoft Office.

My Security Guard experience has taught me much about patience, observance, teamwork, and learning on the job. I have worked with equipment like radios, been asked to deal with individual in need of assistance, and medically aid some of these people. I also understand the importance of continuous learning and am always open and eager to learn new skills.
