Policy Studies of Denver Colorado. Working for the State of Iowa Department of Human
Services, on the Child Welfare Information System. Worked as a team member on the ‘
‘DHS SACWIS GUI project’. Creating ADS ‘Called Procedures’ and COBOL ‘Table
Procedures’ from existing IDMS ADSO dialogs. Procedures were then called via a SELECT
statement. Release 16.0 IDMS uses the IDMS SQL server to access IDMS databases. Duties
included the analysis, coding, testing and documentation of all procedures. Documentation
included detailed test scripts, test- plans, and captured test results. This project allows the
users to access DHS mainframe IDMS data via a GUI front-end. Project defunded in January
2008. The State of Iowa uses the ‘Software Development Life Cycle’ methodology Worked
extensively with IBM OS/390, COBOL II, JCL, TSO/ISPF, IDMS DB/DC, File-Aid, DMLO,
ASDALIVE, and Panvalet.
