EMPLOYMENT

Feb, 2003 – Aug, 2020

I began work at the company then owned by IDEC as an employee of the subcontractor, Aztec Construction. I continued to work at the same facility as the company changed hands to Biogen IDEC and then to Genentech.

During the 17 years of my employment at the same facility, the subcontractor has changed numerous times. The contracting companies started with Aztec and included UGL, DTZ and Aerotech. The last two contracting companies were Cushman Wakefield Services (June, 2011 – March 2019) and Jones Lang LaSalle (April, 2019 – August 2020).

Because of my experience, knowledge of the facility and skills, I was always offered employment with the new contractors.

Aug, 2020 – current

When Jones Lang LaSalle downsized their organization, my position was eliminated and my job was terminated. Coincidentally, my wife became ill and I spent the next two years taking care of her until her death in March, 2022. After that, I made the decision to relocate from California to Louisiana and have been using the time to get settled. I am now ready to find gainful employment.
