Floor technician, is the position I hold at Inter-tech my duties are cleaning carpet and stripping, sealing and waxing floor at different companies all over Texas. On carpets I have experience in extraction, scrubbing with side by side, and the Whittaker system that uses liquid chemicals and dry powder. Experience in floors consist of buffing with side by side, high speed buffing and propane burnishing, these techniques are for maintaining floors. Next is the process of stripping a floor all the way down then building it back up to show room finish, in this process I use a black pad and side by side that will take off all the wax. After laying down stripper on the floor and edges and corner you let set until wax floats to the top of the stripper then using the side by side scrub the floor, if you have a wet vac it will be sucked up then clean water rinses 3 to 4 times then add 2 coats sealer and 3 coats of wax. For quick understanding of how a floor is done.

I cleaned and did repair on bed for turn around to be used in hospitals and homes. The bed I repaired for Hill-Rom was cleaned and disinfected for all germs and blood that was left by patent in the hospital or home a thorough cleaning had to be done to insure that the next patent that uses the bed does not get a bed with any kind of blood or germs, I also had the opportunity the work in the Fled with Tech’s delivering and removing bed from hospitals or homes as requested plus I did repairs on bed in the hospital that needed up grades in the electronic part of the beds.

I worked and lived at Central Texas Children’s Home for 2 years as a professional House Parent, my wife and I took care of the razing of eight girls that had been neglected, and mentally, physically, and sexually abused, runaways, some bipolar, and drug addicted. I also held the position of being the campus manager for the children’s home taking care of a hundred or more acres, cut, trimmed grass, trees, and bushes and watered them.
