EXPERIENCE:

David Mayes has over 35 years in the Electrical Trade. He currently has many certificates and licenses including, DC Electrical Journeyman License, Prince Georges County Journeyman License, Charles County Journeyman License, NICET Fire Alarm System Training Level 1&2, Lockout/Tagout Training & NFPA 70 E (ARC Flash Awareness), and Basic Industrial Electricity Level 1 & 2 Certificate. David Mayes’ skills include, electrical estimator, residential and commercial electrical wiring, fire alarm installation, CCTV installation, Nurse call, door access, data line installation, public address system, and audio surveillance. He also has an extensive background in preventative maintenance on all types and degrees of electrical equipment. He works with sub-contractors to research and correct building mechanical issues.

Representative projects include:

William Jefferson Clinton Federal Building Operation and Maintenance Facilities Services – Electrician DC Journeyman, complete tenant service requests and develops and maintains positive tenant relations through prompt, courteous response to tenant requests. Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment and electrical systems. Maintain computerized or manual equipment logs that detail preventive work performed. Assists in the ordering of stock and inventory of parts and supplies as needed. Work closely with contractors and vendors, remaining up to date on all prices, equipment, and services. David estimates all electrical issues for proposed IDIQ projects. Maintain shop in a clean and organized manner including inventory of supplies. Make required repairs to all building systems.

National Archives and Records Administration – Lead Electrician performed upgrades and modifications of new and existing electrical systems. David developed excellent public relations skills in order to effectively collaborate with customers and subordinate personnel. Constant interaction and collaboration with the following are essential for building operations: NARA maintenance department, building engineers motors and controls, control technician on HVAC equipment, locksmith door controls, plumber motor and pumps, elevator technician for power supply, fire alarm technician, maintenance mechanic for renovations, and high and low voltage testing.
