In the military had several opportunities to work with foreign forces in Internal Defense Operations. Also trained U.S. forces prior to deployment to Iraq/Afghanistan.

Department of Homeland Security, Sacramento, CA — Deportation Officer
MONTH 2015 - PRESENT
-IEA position was realigned with the current Deportation Officer. These duties include the same as the prior IEA position, but also other duties: monitoring certain dockets, coordinating with U.S. State Department and foreign embassies/consulates for obtaining travel documents for subjects ordered deported. Working with the U.S. Attorney’s office to process former felon deports for sentencing to U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons. While assigned to the Fugitive Operations and Warrant Serving Team, being a California State Certified EMT I was the team’s medic. I Attended the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Office for Bombing Prevention Protective Measures Course and the Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device Detection Course.
Department of Homeland Security, Sacramento, CA — Immigration Enforcement Agent (IEA)/(ICE)
MONTH 2003 - 2015
-Worked in conjunction with California state prisons to identify subjects of foreign birth who may fall under deportation proceedings, and to processes their cases to either the Immigration Courts or for removal.
-Assigned to the Fugitive Operations Team on numerous occasions for one to two-year assignments to locate and take into custody subjects identified through various entities for further removal processing. The Fugitive Operations Team was the High-Risk Warrant Serving team and Active Shooter response team.
As part of the Fugitive Operations Team, we were also tasked with the escort and transport of High-Profile Prisoners (HPP). Convoy planning and execution of escort for HPP.
U.S. Border Patrol Station, Sacramento, CA — Detention Enforcement Officer
June 1997 - 2003
-Responsible for transportation of detainees from county jails to the Border Patrol Station for removal processing. The movement of detainees to other facilities, preparing them for either ground or air transportation.
-Assisted Border Patrol Agents in the field with local enforcement.
-Quarterly handgun and shotgun qualification.
Dept. of Defense Police, Stockton, CA — Patrol Officer
September 1996 - June 1997
-Performed basic law enforcement force protection for the base; ensured security of life and property aboard the base and at base housing. Monitored premises to prevent theft, violence and infractions of based rules as ordered by the base Commanding Officer. Conducted building security to ensure all window, doors and gates were secure. Patrolled along the island shoreline to ensure no unauthorized persons attempted access onto the Naval Communications Station. Conducted reports of any violations or infractions or damages. Monitored CCTV surveillance equipment. Established secure routes and personal protection for visiting Department of Defense officials.
Maintained California Penal Code 832, Arrest, Search and Seizure. Current in BSIS firearms, baton, pepper spray.
