WORK EXPERIENCE
JUNE 2022 – PRESENT
PRODUCT ENGINEER, JABIL VIETNAM LTD
• Implemented data clearance and data analysis by using Visual Basic Application (VBA) and dynamic array to analyze the change in Bills of Materials and visualized results by Excel dashboard.
• Led a group of 9 people with agile management principles and scrum tool to ensure that the change projects in product design was accomplished successfully and on time. SEPTEMBER 2020 – MARCH 2022
TEACHING ASSISTANT IN OPERATION RESEARCH COURSE, INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
• Developed a new approach by revising 2-phase method algorithm and big M method algorithm to fill out manually from 7 minutes/tableau to 1 minutes/tableau in midterm examination and tutored it for students. ACADEMIC PROJECTS
THESIS, ALLOCATION PROBLEM WITH LATE DELIVERY AND INVENTORY
• Developed a mathematical model for vendors selection with limits of time, late delivery, defects, inventory for a manufacturing Bifan company. The model used linear programming techniques to minimize total cost of delivery and stock, resulting in a 15% reduction in total cost, saving the company $25000 per year. The optimization result was derived by Cplex software requiring C language. OPERATION RESEARCH, FINDING THE SHORTEST PATH OF BIFAN’S DISTRIBUTION NETWORK
• Developed a genetic algorithm and implemented by Google Colab with NumPy, Seaborn and Pytorch library to find the shortest path to travel 5 cities in South Viet Nam for manufacturing Bifan company’s distribution network. It caused a reduction in late delivery by 35% and an increase in satisfaction feedback from customers because of more timely delivery.
CAPSTONE DESIGN, CANTEEN’S SIMULATION MODEL IN PREDICTING BOTTLENECKS
• Utilized Arena simulation to optimize a dynamic queuing system at canteen by creating a simulation model to predict bottlenecks and optimize the system based on real-world data such as customer arrival rates, service times, and queue lengths. It reduced waiting times by over 50%, allowing the canteen to serve 20% more customers per hour, increased customer satisfaction and revenue by $100/hour. The simulation model also allowed for future decision-making by conducting changes in key data (sensitivity analysis). SKILLS
