Quality Control Technician

Develop and maintain inspection reports

Ensure compliance to federal and state laws, as well as company standards and specifications.

Maintain calibration of quality control equipment, prepare and maintain test data for review.

Perform inspections across all stages of production (before, in-process, and final) to avoid product defects.

Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards

Identify areas for quality control improvement and implement new methods accordingly

Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios, and proportions.

Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Experience performing routine daily inspections that include checking Packaging, packaging specifications, scale counts, and data from machinery.

Experience with routine documentation of essential daily Quality reviews: Write up QC Hold Tags as needed, documenting them in the log, and notify appropriate staff. Generate, log, as needed after approval from the appropriate personnel has been obtained.

Document and disposition quality issues to ensure problems are resolved.

Effectively communicate with Foremen and Supervisors regarding quality compliance issues and with urgency.

Solid understanding of test equipment for production.

Ensure quality testing of product at all time; carry out inspections to meet the standard set by the organization.

Encourage and enforce cleanliness on the part of the staff and ensure safe working conditions.

Focus on corrective actions to make sure products meet required specifications.

Ensure measuring equipment are functioning properly and calling for repairs where equipment is faulty.
