Driver – Colombo Based

I have been working as a Driver since 1st January 2015 at Oxfam Sri Lanka and I have 7 years’ experience with driving light vehicles and heavy vehicles at Oxfam head office and Filed offices. In addition to this, I have been doing additional support for building maintenance, electrical work and plumping work at Oxfam.

Driver - Vavuniya Based

I worked as a Driver at Oxfam GB from 2004 to 2014 and I have 10 years’ experience in driving van, car, double cab, Jeep and heavy vehicles at the field office.

Driver – in Doha, Qatar

I worked as a Logistic Assistant cum Driver from June 2001 to December 2004 in Doha, Qatar and also drove light vehicles and heavy vehicles.

Driver and Cum Technical Assistant

I worked as a Driver cum Technical Assistant at MSF – Vavuniya from May 2000 to May 2001, it is a Humanitarian Responses. Training and Activities

My main roll is driving an office vehicle for the business activities of the organization and support to the staff for day to day activities in terms of logistic, office administration and filed visit. I have worked for serval international organization more than 20 years and was a team member of the organization for every activity in the field and Head office.

And also, I have ensured that the vehicles are with good running condition for safe journey to the field and maintained a daily update for safety and security of updating current security updates with the manager.

Furthermore, ensure day to day maintenance, cleaning of the vehicle and routine repairs in an

effective and efficient manner.

Kept record on vehicle movement, periodic services and the fuel consumption every day.

And also highlighted the vehicle’s issues to the managers and found solutions to overcome the

issues and repair.

Skills and knowledge

Having technical skills to do the Water and Sanitation work specially water supply and hand

pump installing and repair.

Fluent to speak and write in Tamil and ability to speak and write English.

Able to speak and understand the Sinhala, Arabic, Malayalam and Hindi languages.

Ability to handle IT equipment’s such as computer, Digital camera etc.

Familiar with internet, E-mail and MS Office.
