OCD, schizophrenia, and hospital consults. Assisted in medication initiation and management of treatment. Referred for therapy and other non-pharmacological treatments.

Completed 135 hours with Pamela Badzinski, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHS. She is a ARNP who started her own practice in Orlando, Florida specializing in pediatric mental health. I was able to assist with treating and diagnosing ADHD, Autism spectrum disorders, weight management, conduct disorders, anxiety disorders and depressive disorders. Able to use screening tools to diagnose conditions. Also used genetic testing in some cases to gage treatment plans. Craft Behavioral Health LLC September 2021- October 2021 Completed 45 hours under Board Certified Psychiatrist Mohammad Farooque MD., Ph.D. in Jacksonville, Florida. Observed and inited treatment plans for patients of all ages with multiple conditions including: major depressive disorder, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, sleep disturbances, addiction, and personality disorders.

Sylvester Cancer Center January 2018- March 2018 Completed 229 hours at Sylvester Cancer Center with the lymphoma team, worked under Dr. Izidore Lossos, Dr. Alvaro Alencar, and Yamila Melendez, ARNP. Saw patients aged 18 and older. Worked to diagnose and treat lymphomas and certain leukemias. Once a week inpatient rounds on patients admitted for chemotherapy. Focus was on head to toe assessments, focusing on lymph node regions, monitoring lab counts, and ordering chemotherapy. Therapeutic communication with patients just diagnosed with cancer was essential. Dealt with dying patient’s and family members of those patients. Total SOAP notes completed: 115.

University of Miami Hospital May 2018- August 2018 Completed 224 hours at University of Miami Hospital. Inpatient rounding, 12 hour shifts, with a urology group under Lisset Oliva, ARNP. Worked with adult patients median age over 65 years old. Focused on urologic diseases such as disorders of the kidneys, neoplasms of the bladder and prostate, BPH, renal calculi, hematuria, UTIs and more. Ordered labs, tests, imagining, fluids and medications. Conducted H&Ps, assessments, and wrote discharge notes. Total SOAP notes completed: 142.
