Began Clay Bae Designs as the sole owner of a small business startup, with a focus on strategic planning, budgetary resources, supply and inventory, and prioritizing customer experience. My experience as a creative artist is reflected in the quality of my products and attention to detail, from producing each handmade item to it reaching the customer. I drove business through social media, targeted ads, events, word of mouth and networking with other small business organizations. In its first year of operation, Clay Bae Designs has over 1K social media followers and a high percentage of return customers. Additionally Clay Bae Designs has earned a local following by being featured at local arts and craft events. Maintaining a valued relationship with event coordinators, local small businesses, venue owners and other vendors.

In my 16 year career experience with owning a small business in the cosmetology profession, my skills were direct client relations, communication, building customer relationships, ensuring clients felt that their needs were met, sales, keeping a healthy and clean workspace, cosmetology skills as a color and cutting specialist, financial bookkeeping, scheduling and cancelling appointments, and maintaining a high percentage of return customers. Above all, my favorite part of the job was providing a quality customer experience. Working in the fast paced, ever changing environment gave me a unique ability to learn a dynamic skill set to become a wonderful customer advocate.

For fun, I enjoy being outdoors with my kids, making art, working events with my small business, as well as participating in my women’s monthly book club.
