Registered Nurse, BSN - Provide direct patient care for med-surg patients and direct patient care for high-risk patients. Patient population mainly post surgical and sometimes wound infections that needed sterile dressing changes. Worked with colostomy, ileostomy, and patients with different types of drains, (i.e.) JP's, continuous bladder irrigations, NG tubes, wound vacs etc. Staffing duties, plan of care for patients, patient /family teaching.

Adult ICU - Provided direct patient care on 1-1 basis, vented patients, worked with numerous drips, intubations and other procedures, plan of care for patient, education to family members

Care Manager - Team of 2-3 members, consisting of LPN and technicians, patients per team usually 8-9. Responsible for taking off all orders from physicians and seeing that the orders got carried out. Work with a variety of drips such as Cardizem, Insulin, Propofol etc. Make sure care plan is up to date. Also do a host of other duties for high acuity patients. As of late, I have been precepting new associate and assisting agency staff with their needs. In addition I am on the rapid response team.
