I am writing to apply for the position of duct fabricator. With over 6 years of experience as duct worker, I possess the comprehensive skill set and hands-on understanding necessary to affect positive, overreaching outcomes in this role.
I have extensive experience working on construction sites where I gained valuable knowledge in this field. During my progressive career, I have learned how to inspect surfaces properly to look for imperfections. I learned to pay close attention to details, so I have the skills to find problems that could easily be overlooked. My specialty is operating a variety of machines and equipment used to cut, bend and form the metal pieces into the shapes needed to fit together perfectly. I also have the ability to use welding equipment to connect the pieces together. I understand the dangers of using some of the machinery and the safety guidelines and regulations needed to maintain a safe working environment and to prevent injuries. I am physically fit and able to handle the duties associated with this job and to work long hours in all types of weather. I have excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to follow instructions and I am dependable, trustworthy and self-motivated. I am hard-working and flexible for all types of jobs. I can work under pressure and minimal supervision.
