I started this job in 2001 as a xray technician. It took me three years to move forward as a dental lead. My company works work with all branches of the military reserves doing dental screenings along with an exam and sometimes even dental treatment. These services allows the service members to be fit for active duty. I’m in charge of setting up the event equipment one day in advance and making sure my team is confirmed and understands they’re role in the event. During the event I trouble shoot any equipment issues and over see my team to make sure everything runs smoothly. I jump in when necessary and take x-ray’s and or chart to allow my team a break. I do these events on weekends and do not allow it to interfere with my full time job.

I work as a deputy running and maintaining the flow of every day routines in the jail. I would escort inmates to and from visitation, showers, appointments, medical and or dental visits. I would make sure inmates were safe and followed all rules and guidelines. This was a difficult job but I embraced the experience.

This was my fist dental assisting job. I would handle two rows on patients by myself. I worked hard and learned a lot through this experience. I worked as an assistant in the back the first two years and transferred to running the front desk my last year. Great experience and soon took me back to dentistry after I left the career.
