Accomplishments:
Led project to develop a new Density Management product to give riders real-time bus stop crowd density information. All development work was performed by a 3rd party, multi-national team based in Kiev, Ukraine. Team members included data scientists, software developers and analytics SMEs. By employing interpersonal and team skills I was able to improve communications and drive the initial phase of the project to a successful completion.

Job Scope: Program Manager for Cubic’s New York Tri-State Region. Projects included new AFC equipment builds (ticket vending machines, access gates, fare boxes, etc.), system software, network and infrastructure upgrades and integration with other transit agencies.

Accomplishments:
Employed leadership and negotiation skills to effectively manage and deliver various AFC projects during the 3- year period when key software, engineering, and technical resources were dedicated to OMNY development and not readily available to support ongoing MetroCard® and other service projects.
Regained New York customer confidence over perceived lapses in AFC equipment quality by initiating a NY specific product quality review. By performing a thorough root cause analysis, managing customer expectations and implementing corrective actions were able to improve equipment quality consistency.
Led a select team of Cubic managers, engineers, CM and other subject matter experts on a special project to identify and evaluate potential suppliers/products for a companywide Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) implementation and select the best one for Cubic.

Accomplishments:
Utilizing data analysis, technical insights and interpersonal skills, negotiated and facilitated completion of the Reliability Maintainability Availability Test (RMAT) for the Tren Urbano light rail AFC system. After long delays and strained relations between the Prime, Cubic and local contractors, I led the Cubic RMAT effort and completed testing ahead of schedule facilitating project closeout.
Led CS hardware engineering team in the design, development and implementation of a new proof-of-payment/ticket validation machine and payment card processing network. The team delivered a unique, highly dependable machine with an aesthetically modern look surpassing customer’s expectation.
Managed a successful pilot program of a video analytic solution for parking enforcement in Calgary, Canada. Overcoming technical challenges and building a trusted relationship with the customer ultimately positioned Cubic to win a major parking contract.
