Work Experience
•New York-Presbyterian-Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt Manor, NY. August 18, 2020-Present.
Nurse practitioner. As a surgical nurse practitioner, I treat the patients who have been admitted to the surgical service, as well as the patients whom surgery is consulting on. Collaborating with the surgeons, I treat these patients in the inpatient setting. The types of surgeries our patients have include, but are not limited to: general (cholecystectomy, appendectomy, bowel resection), colorectal, bariatric, orthopedic (total joints, fractures), and spine. I also monitor inpatients who may possibly need surgery, such as patients with small bowel obstructions and managing their condition with conservative management. I communicate with the hospitalists, specialists, case managers, physical therapists, nurses, patients, and family members to help form a plan of care and treatment for individual patients. I also participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds.

•WMC Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. May 2015 to October 2019.

While providing direct nursing care, I worked with the physicians, case managers, social workers, and physical therapists in determining the patient’s plan of care for admission and discharge. •NYU Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, NY. July 2009 to May 2015.
Registered Nurse on the neurological and neurosurgical observations unit and floor. Working here provided me with extensive experience in stroke, brain and spinal cord injury, and epilepsy.
