Railway Bridge on Tawi river in Jammu-Udhampur- Baramula Rail Link in Jammu & Kashmir Responsibilities as Procurement Head/Procurement Manager : 1) Screening the Supplier database and target the key suppliers. 2) Developing the supply alternatives for cost reduction and quality improvement. 3) Encouraging e-Sourcing application to e-Procurement. 4) Prequalification evaluation for new supplier registration. 5) Continuous coordination with Consultant/Client in order to expedite the process of material approval in time.
6) Attending Weekly Progress meeting with the higher management and project managers. 7) Preparation of Procurement Time Schedule with the indicative time frame to match with the activity finish date at site.
8) Division of material based on the Procurement Targeting Module. 9) Preparing monthly Cost Saving Report (CSR).
10) Research and development to create a healthy competition in finalization of the competitive biddings. 11) Technical and Financial discussion with the vendors to finalize the subcontract. 12) Study the compliance sheet prepared by the vendor to understand his compliance with the project specifications.
13) Continuous monitoring and annual evaluation of the vendor’s performance. 14) Monitoring the progress of subordinate staff in relation with the time devoted to the procurement of different materials and preparation of subcontract agreements. 15) Managing the weekly meeting with the subordinate staff to discuss the Procurement Target Module. 16) The subcontract agreements are developed as Bespoke based on FIDIC conditions and the company policies.
17) Pre-contract evaluation of the subcontract documents before finalization. 18) Negotiation on the different terms and conditions of the subcontract agreements with the vendors. 19) Drafting and execution of the subcontract agreements. 20) Monitoring the timely transaction compliance.
21) Ensure subcontract agreement close-outs and renewal of the subcontract agreements if required. Qualification:
Degree in Bachelor of Engineering in Civil in 1994 from Bangalore University, Bangalore, India.
Post Graduate Diploma in Procurement and Contracts from ABE/ABP (Association of Business Practitioners) - UK
General:
Well Versed in Windows and MS-Office, Auto-CAD.
A perfect approach to Internet for e-procurement and e-sourcing.
Working in SAP ERP (Entrepreneur Resource Planning) environment since 2008. Language Ability :
