Specimen Processor III

Performs highly specialized clerical work, answers phone calls regarding technical questions on specimen sample tests from different hospitals and other laboratory.

Checks for accuracy of patient requisitions samples received and its stability.

Responsible for determination of problem sample and patient information not corresponding with the test requisition.

Responsible for processing “client at risk samples”, and irreplaceable and short stability specimen samples.

Processes and handles accessioning of pathology samples such as bone marrow, tissue slides and paraffin block.

Assists the supervisors and floor leads with other processors’ questions and/or information regarding their tasks and duties if any problems arise.
