Duties and Responsibilities

Inspection site conditions to ensure suitability for the designed permanent works.

Be familiar with project design drawings and specifications, and approved shop drawings.

Design review, liaison and coordination of consultants in all disciplines both within the project and of the interface with adjoining projects.

Provide regular information to Line Managers about all site activities including progress, quality and Health and Safety issues.

Review of shop drawings, method statements, Health and safety documentation and material submittals.

Give practical advice on constructional matters.

Manage and organise Quality Engineers to ensure all required inspections are carried out and QA/QC documentation completed and recorded.

Recording daily by maintaining a fully detailed diary of all work activities.

Reporting accurately all activities and issues which effects the progress and which provide a reflection of the Contractors performance.

Monitoring that all works adhere to the contract documents.

This project covered Road, Bridge, Sewerage, Storm water, District cooling, Potable water, Irrigation, Telecom, Gas, Street light, Power (HV and LV), distribution substation and beach works - marina, canal, revetment work for sea side.

My duties in this project:

Deputies the resident engineer & assist in managing the projects.

Review and approve contractors’ submittals, Method Statements, Shop drawings etc

Ensure Contractor’s compliance with approved method statement and contract document specifications.
