General Science Tutor
Non-paid position created by myself in an effort to unite our small science class in the face of a novel colossal collegiate challenge.
Began with a group of 5 total biomedical science students first semester including myself held in my personal college apartment. Grew rapidly as word of our course successes spread, expanding to more than 15 students first year and a spike to 30+ during finals.
Eventually settled to around 40 students our sophomore year and beyond with continuing guidance and assistance with shared courses in controlled group setting.
Continuous success met with emerging difficulties with expansion including limited apartment space and unfamiliar faces using gathering as a social opportunity to meet female counterparts
Downsized to invite-only with group collaborative effort to efficiently utilize study-time. Advancements made in presentation equipment, previous course taker connections, and access previous year course materials.
Results from efforts confirmed with regular participants universally earning A-B’s and other participants seeing a proportional course grade improvement correlated with attendance.
