BACKGROUND SUMMARY

I have proven installation, upgrade, and support experience on Edge Systems, Hyperconverged Systems including high density storage, POS systems, ScriptPro robotic medication dispensers, laptops, PCs, printers, TVs, cable and satellite equipment.

I have a wide variety of experience in IT projects and coordinating with government entities installing infrastructure and support. A proven leader with the ability to utilize resources and reach goals and objectives while impacting the bottom line to a positive outcome, with excellent communication skills to present, support and manage at all levels of an organization. I'm an independent critical thinker that needs no supervision and I am a very task driven and extremely responsible person that always strives for customer satisfaction (internal and external). I personally saved MCIWorldcom funds in excess of $12,000 minimum while simultaneously gaining my department our own learning lab. (I implemented the server to house all of the routers and switches IOS's and configs. It was also used to house any and all high priority backups.) I negotiated with Cisco for the end of life gear I would need for a decent break/fix lab for training and also to help us Visualize/Duplicate any complicated router issues.

08/2021-11/2022 SR Field Service Engineer-Dell Technologies. Miami, FL Main responsibilities include maintaining “cloud” infrastructure, including military, financial, and healthcare facilities that are mission critical and must have 24/7 availability. New installs including documentation, de-installs, rack and stack, hot cuts, hot spares, storage expansion, and site surveys to name a small percentage of my responsibilities maintaining our Hyperconverged line of products..

02/2019-08/2021 1099 CONTRACT SERVICE ENGINEER for ServRight and FastCom Inc. (concurrently) Responsibilities included those listed below for ServRight. Added responsibilities for FastCom included DMARC extensions, troubleshooting CCTV systems and IP cameras. Running emergency calls for downed circuits and equipment (from modems to firewalls and switches including testing of the cables.). Troubleshot issues with MDF/IDF at sights ranging from Pollo Tropical to Dolphin Mall. Attended vendor meets as necessary to provide optimal service to customer.

12/2015-02/2019 SR Field Service Engineer-ServRight, Miami, (W2 until 2/2019 then 1099 contract) Responsible for timely response to trouble calls adhering to SLAs at all times. Maintained and installed a wide range of equipment from shredders at secure facilities to ScriptPro Robotic Pharmacy dispensers to residential TV’s. Troubleshot to diagnose problem with equipment. Lead/IT Airport Logistical Manager for the TSA. Responsible for the deployment, setup and breakdown and of the TSA training centers for the federalization of Americas airport passenger screeners. . Responsible for the support (logistical and technical) of the training centers PC's, servers, luggage scanners and supplies. . Coordinated with many government and civilian entities for a successful project (Lockheed-Martin, TSA, FSD, hotels, conference centers, etc.). . Completed detailed Site Surveys at proposed locations for OJT and submitted reports. . Documented issues that needed to be addressed in the daily meetings. . Assured security of sensitive materials to include the training computers and documents. . Inventoried and prepared test baggage to insure screeners and scanners were performing adequately. . Verified before setup that all needs were met (power requirements, equipment onsite, rooms available for training, trainers and screeners etc.). . Network Engineer - MCI WorldCom

Developed procedure for reclaiming "misused" IP's and finding the PC responsible. . Corporate IP Services maintains the corporate TCP/IP database. We use this database to provision the network, assign static TCP/IP addresses, update and manage DNS, as well as manage DHCP. I was in charge of keeping it up to date and documenting and correcting discrepancies. . Responsible for the surveillance, administration, and restoration of critical components on MCI WorldCom's Internal Data Networks. This included a wide variety of manufacturers but was predominantly Cisco routers and switches. (2500's to 7500's and Catalyst 2900's and 5000's). Monitoring and Support of the LAN/WAN and related hardware, software, and telecommunication links and incidents that could impact MCI WorldCom's internal and external customers. . Maintained our department's server also built out racks and servers for the Data Center and verified connectivity (Cat5 and Fiber). . Configured and troubleshot Video Conferencing for meeting rooms in MOD's 1 and 2. Upgraded/Replaced end of life routers and switches including firmware upgrades. . Remotely helped offsite techs with issues ranging from a single port being down to a complete outage. . Remotely provided 7x24 multi-protocol support for many of MCI WorldCom's organizations (Business Markets, Mass Markets, Messaging, SSA, UUNET, etc.).
