I have always wanted to help people in any way I could. I love the feeling knowing I have done something that could make a difference to someone’s life or even their families. Helping others and making a difference in the world is what will help to make a better place by improving people's lives . One person at a time, one day at a time and one project at a time. I believe I can make a difference to someone or leave an impact on people that need it. My responsibilities as a surgery scheduler were to schedule all the ortho procedures and to assure that all the appropriate clinical and insurance coding information was collected prior to surgery. I also scheduled the patients pre op, post op, physical and occupational therapy. Along with any testing the patient may need such as EKG, X-ray, or any labs. As a scheduler I would also bill the patient's insurance and make sure the surgery was pre approved before doing so and make sure any therapy was covered as well if needed. I also contacted the patient to go over all the surgery details with them prior to surgery and after surgery and answered any questions they may have.

• Scheduled Ortho surgeries for 5 providers

• Schedule post op / pre op/ OT and PT appointments

• Put in orders for EKG, X-ray, and any blood work that would be needed/ or any other testing • Billed Insurance for the surgeries and Therapy / Made sure it was pre authorized before doing so • Worked close with the providers and nurses

• Made sure all the surgeries for each day were on each provider’s individual calendar / what order they wanted

• Contacted the patient and went over all the surgery details with them/ before and after surgery/ answered any questions they might have.

As a patient care tech my responsibilities were to provide direct and indirect health care to patients by ensuring the cleanliness of their rooms, assisting with medical treatments and basic daily needs. I would also monitor their health and perform basic nursing procedures. As well as entering all the patient's vitals, adls, ect. in their chart.

• discontinued patient’s iv’s, catheter, ect.

• assist nurse with medical treatments/ basic needs for the patient

• put everything in the patient’s chart

As a certified pharmacy technician my responsibilities were to prepare the patients medication, receiving and verifying the prescriptions. I would also fill the prescriptions as well as price them along with completing the patient’s paperwork related to filling the prescription. Most importantly obtaining the pharmacist's approval. As well as making sure our patients were taken care of in a timely manner.
