Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to you regarding the RN position. I would like to apply for this position since I believe I have the requisite qualifications for the job and I am confident it would be a good fit for both of us.

I have advanced my nursing career by graduating from Walden University Nursing School with PMHNP. My nursing career began In Inglewood, California at Daniel Freeman Hospital where I worked doing chemotherapy for 5 years. Then onto Del Amo Psychiatric Hospital, in California which represented patients across various Psychiatric segments. My duties included coordinating diagnostics and tests, monitoring vital signs, and assisting doctors on their rounds, I have a massive and extensive wealth of knowledge of specialized healthcare practices, including executing ECT procedures and conscious sedation, Rehabilitation, Long term, Acute LTAC, Home Health, and Hospice care. I have also had the opportunity of working with High-Risk several patients as a charge nurse and as a House supervisor for over 30 years as a psychiatric home health nurse in the community and also inpatient and outpatient facilities.

Since coming to Texas I opted to work at Sun Behavioral which provides acute inpatient and Starbranch Psychiatry outpatient treatment to patients of all ages. I am advanced in psychiatric assessments and evaluations, therefore I have the knowledge of important emergency procedures along with developing the skills to correctly interpret diagnostic results and lab tests and make recommendations to transfer patients to the appropriate units for immediate care. I am highly sought out to direct and implement recommendations for services to assist the units and nurses in providing top-quality and prompt medical care and also imparted in-house training to nurses concerning certain processes.

In conclusion, having a sound mind and a calm, positive outlook has helped me be able to always give my best even in crises. A keen interest in my work and awareness of the latest psychotherapy, psychopharmacological treatments, and relevant healthcare practices ensures that patients under my care are comfortable to the maximum extent.

I have attached my resume for your perusal, which includes my academic qualifications, detailed career span, and current licensing boards. I would be glad to have the chance for a meeting with you to provide further details should you require it. In addition, I would greatly appreciate your consideration of my application and hope to hear from you regarding an interview.

Sincerely, Genisa Ogden, RN, MSN
